26TH APRIL-ISLAMIC FAMILY LIFE
We live in an era in which the nature, function &structure of the family unit have been thrown into question. In a time when values tend to be turned upside down, family life as the very heart of society was attacked just as much as many other handed-down traditions, throwing in to doubt Islamic teaching in family life.
24TH MAY- ISLAMIC FINANCE
The principles of Islam govern not only relations between God & man, but also social relationships including commercial transactions. Islam forbids charging Interest on loans, as this is seen as a form of Usury. This ban on Interest obviously creates major distinction between Islamic Banking &the rest of the International banking system.
21st JUNE-MARRIAGE & PARENTING
Many parents mistakenly equate parenting with discipline. Effective parenting begins from day one in a baby's life by establishing bonding... The family is the cornerstone of society. Within the family, the marital relationship is the centre around which all other elements revolve. If this centre is operating smoothly harmoniously then it is likely that the rest of the system will also be in balance. Where there is disruption or discord, the whole system malfunctions.
12th JULY-WILLS & INHERITANCE
"It is the duty of a Muslim who has anything to bequeath not to let 2 nights pass without writing a Will."
If you die without leaving a Will, 'intestacy' rules are used to distribute your estate. These rules do not apply the same criteria as those laid down by the Shari'a, which is why it becomes an obligatory religious duty for Muslims living in the country to make an Islamic Will.
