Quote of the Week
Charity (sadaqah) is due upon every joint of a person on every day that the sun rises. Administering justice between two people is an act of charity; and to help a man concerning his riding beast by helping him on to it or lifting his luggage on to it is an act of charity; a good word is charity; and every step which you take to prayer is charity; and removing that which is harmful from the road is charity." Reported by al-Bukharee (Eng. Trans. 4/146/no.232)

SOCIAL & CULTURAL

Al-Khair Foundation actively encourages social and cultural celebrations as an aid to allow the community at large an insight to the richness of Islamic heritage. The Foundations premises in East Croydon are used for all manner of such celebrations to include Eid celebrations, exhibitions, Quranic recitals and Nasheed performances.

On occasion, larger halls (such as the Fairfield Halls in Croydon or the Royal Concert Hall in Glasgow) are deployed to accommodate a fuller programme and larger audiences.

Al-Khair Foundation excels in the variety of fronts and activities that it operates (such as charity, education, social, etc.) and the unique manner in which these activities are holistically linked for the primary purpose of advancing the cause of Muslims in the community.

Al-Khair Foundation is also active in such diverse fields as hospital visits, where the spiritual needs of patients are addressed, to prison visits, where Muslim (and other) prisoners are offered help from an Islamic perspective.
