Quote of the Week
Charity (sadaqah) is due upon every joint of a person on every day that the sun rises. Administering justice between two people is an act of charity; and to help a man concerning his riding beast by helping him on to it or lifting his luggage on to it is an act of charity; a good word is charity; and every step which you take to prayer is charity; and removing that which is harmful from the road is charity." Reported by al-Bukharee (Eng. Trans. 4/146/no.232)

EDUCATION

Al-Khair is an independent day school offering all-round education of an high quality for primary boys and girls, and secondary boys aged 11 - 16.

Situated in Croydon the school is extremely accessible being only a five minute walk from East Croydon station. A full range of subjects are delivered in a low pupil/ teacher ratio environment for greater individual attention .

Al-Khair schools primary aim is to achieve excellence in education for our students within a cultivating, caring and secure Islamic environment. We strive at creating an environment where they live their Islam by showing respect and kindness to one another, Muslims and non-Muslims

The strong academic background that is provided will help them graduate and take their place in society, as Muslim professionals who will not only serve as role models for generations of Muslims to come, but also as intelligent and thoughtful citizens who will serve as ambassadors between Islam and the West.

Al-Khair students are involved with various activities of al Khair foundation , from writing letters to the orphans in Kashmir or donating their Eid gifts to those less fortunate in our society. Recent Ofsted inspection highlighted this when they said rarely have they come across a school where students were so polite , helpful and committed to the school. Stating that our children were a credit to us. A true mark of a successful school.
